I don't see the problem. Of course, I see everything in the world as shade of gray.
Besides, he doesn't have to look for the Garanimal label to see what to wear with which shirt. (Garnimal labeled clothing helped kids to color coordinate their clothes.)
Sadly, we do use Woolite dark on his shirts, wash them in cold water and never put them in the dryer, all of which are supposed to help hold the color... obviously that only goes so far over time (many of these shirts he's had since high school). And, yes, they all say different things on the front. Steve has said that he never has to worry if his shirt matches his pants. Maybe there are advantanges to picking one color scheme and sticking with it.
