Garden Update

When cleaning up the backyard of our rental, I found a group of bulbs hidden under some planks of wood along the base of our fence. I collected them (they weren’t buried in the ground at all, just sitting on top) and planted them in a pot we also found in the yard. We had no idea what they were, and have been waiting patiently as they’ve slowly grown. Recently, they came into flower and the winner was… narcissus!

The bed that we cleaned out and planted with a variety pack of bulbs is also beginning to show some color.

Steve has taken a liking to having a yard and in the past week has brought home two new plants: a rhododendron (below) and a small apple tree.

Spring is going to be grand in our yard.

Your flowers look beautiful. It is fun to have places to put plants.

You gonna try artichokes? You are in the best place in the world for them to grow.

Honestly, I hate gardening. Our backyard would be a glorious display of native weeds if it was up to me. But Steve is into it and I mentioned the artichokes to him.
