Steve and I spent our Sunday watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies back-to-back-to-back. We started somewhere around 3 in the afternoon and wrapped up just after 11 pm.
Before you ask, no, we did not have anything better to do.
We’ve heard a lot of criticism of the second and third movies (Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End) saying that they didn’t match the tone of the first movie (Curse of the Black Pearl) and that they were confusing and nonsensical. Steve and I never agreed with these criticisms and watching the movies again really cemented our stance that the plot was carefully thought out, foreshadowed a great deal in the first movie and all makes sense once you’ve seen it enough times to catch all the nuances.
I admit that I am biased in that these movies are favorites of mine (closely following the original Star Wars Trilogy and Indiana Jones #1 & #3). But I urge anyone who has a long attention span and absolutely nothing to do to watch these movies as a marathon. It was a lot of fun and we noticed things we hadn’t caught the other times we watched… which is impressive being that I’ve practically got them memorized.

That't the kind of thing I plan to do someday when I get a weaving loom (and learn to use it...) I too love the Pirates movies, all three, although I thought the last one got unnecessarily graphic in its violence.
I agree. I enjoyed all three and saw how they fit together. (It's Eva Worden from HS). I remember discussing Indiana Jones back in HS at lunch. I am glad you are doing great. Say hi to Steve!
