Ikea carries these adorable little folding stepladders, so Steve and I picked one up yesterday. It does allow both of us enough height to get into bed without difficulty.
The little stepladder came with a special bracket that allows it to be hung on a wall (or, in this case, bedframe). Steve attaches the bracket:
This next picture cracked me up. It shows just how far out of level our dear old house is. The stepladder is level. The floor (and thus bedframe) is not.
Tucked out of the way, the little stepladder is a definite improvement:
Now I just have to deal with unpacking those boxes that used to hide behind the old ladder.
As an aside, the wonderful little rug seen in the above pictures belonged to my grandparents. I always loved that rug and was allowed to take it home with me last weekend. It looks beautiful in the bedroom, and seeing it makes me both sad and happy at the same time, if that makes sense.
Anyway... coming up next time on Lisa's always edge-of-your-seat exciting blog: garden progress!
