Coincidentally, both the name of the textbook we used and the status of my first and only class at Cabrillo College. I turned in my final project on Wednesday and grades should be posted sometime in mid-June. I am one step closer to CPA-ness.
In theory what happens next is, once my grade is posted, I send in my transcript and get the 2/3 of a credit that I need. Then they send me a “notice to schedule” so that I can pick my exam times. And, I guess, sometime in there I need to study.
It’s an anti-climactic milestone, to be sure. I do not look forward to being a CPA. I just feel like there must be something more interesting I can do with my 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the next 40-some years. But, thus far, I haven’t come up with any brilliant career aspirations, so I suppose I just keep moving forward with this CPA thing.
Oh, well. At least accounting pays, I suppose. I know the economy’s rough right now, so I should be grateful to have a job.
