We begin this month with Jack. Both boys love to ride their bikes, but Jack was the one who enjoyed posing for pictures on his this month.
THE PARK!
The boys love the park. So many exciting things happen at the park. We have to (want to, I'm sure I meant) go there constantly.
On this day, work on the power lines proves interesting enough to pause the eager cyclists for a moment:
Proof the boys do play nicely sometimes:
Good job, Henny!
Jackie and his out of control hair tackle the swing:Henry is a pro at the big-kid swing, here he shows off his dismount:

Slidin' Henry:
Around the House
Jack disapproves of how long the epic Jeep garage/playhouse is taking to construct. Steve laughs at the thought of getting anything done on it with toddlers constantly circling.
Jack left, Henry right, playing with beads:Yes, we both fit in this rocking chair, why do you ask?
Helping Mom do the shredding:
Later, Jack would bring me papers from the to-be-shredded bin and announce "card for you, mama!" When asked what it said, he replied, "lovable!" Is he lovable? Am I lovable? He wouldn't elaborate, so I don't think we'll ever know for sure.
Best toy ever, jellybeans!
Field Trip!
The boys' preschool took them on a field trip to the pediatric dentist. It's a pretty cool idea; they don't have to get an exam, they just play with the tools, make the chair go up and down, and hopefully come away from it less nervous about going to the dentist.
Happy Jack tries the chair:
Suave Henry gets his turn:
Both boys did express an interest in returning to the dentist, so we'll see if we can build on that positive experience.
Jack is a wild, mischievous little creature.
He seems to be a budding kleptomaniac. We've learned to check his pockets before allowing him to leave the preschool grounds. During one pickup, Jack's teacher could hear his pockets jingling and said, "let me guess, six cars?" Jack dutifully began removing the toy cars from his two jacket pockets. Final count? Thirteen.
Actually, it must have been fourteen total cars because one still made it back to our house that evening.
He is starting to tell "jokes." For instance, he held his water cup up over his head and asked us all where his water was. "On head!" was apparently the answer he was going for, which he thought was hysterical. I think his humor might just be a little over our heads. (Okay, I see where he gets it.)
Jack loves to announce that things are "broken" and he will "fix" them. Here he works on the Jeep with his toy drill (not sure how the can of spam on the bumper plays into things... guess that's just what happens when your temporary garage is also your pantry and laundry room):
Performing urgent maintenance on the front door:
Henry
Henry can be the sweetest little dude imaginable. He likes to bring stuffed animals over to Mom when she doesn't feel well and ask "make you feel better?" He also likes to tell Mom and Dad that he misses us when we're away at work and that he loves us "a lot." However, he can also throw some pretty epic tantrums when he fails to communicate.
Not this angel, I don't know what she's talking about!
Henry's pretty funny to talk to. I received a birthday card from my parents with a joke referencing a game show. After reading the card to Henry, I told him he probably didn't know what a game show is. He claimed he absolutely does know what a game show is and we had the following exchange.
Me: You know what a game show is?
Henry: Yes.
Me: Have you been a contestant on a game show?
Henry: Yes.
Me: Did you win?
Henry: Yes.
Me: What did you win?
Henry: Pants.
Hmmmm...
Showing that brother isn't the only one with crazy curls:
Henry, fashion icon:
Henry requested that Mom dump all the stuffed animals into the bed. At first he was pretty pleased with himself...
... then he started to seem a little concerned he'd bitten off more than he could chew.
Those boys are spoiled rotten, that's for certain.
