The Reluctant Blogger

Apparently doing taxes all day makes me unwilling to do anything when I get home. I really don't feel like writing anything now, but since there's a decent amount going on, I'm going to do a quick and dirty update.

We put in an offer on a house yesterday. It's a tiny little fixer-upper built in 1901 and located in the downtown area of Santa Cruz. Tons of character, lots of work. Our offer was significantly below asking price, so we have no idea if we'll get acceptance, a counteroffer, or just be ignored completely. We're anxiously awaiting word.

Next week is finals week for Steve for his second to last class before he gets his Masters in Chemistry. Next quarter, he'll take his last class and give his capstone seminar in May. Between work and school, he's been keeping very busy.

We still have our foster rabbit Sharky (in addition to our five permanent residents). He went to a rabbit adoption show last weekend and in the words of the volunteers "sulked" the whole time. He has apparently decided he likes living at our house. He's still technically up for adoption, but I told the rescue only to have me bring him in if someone is particularly interested in him (from his bio and picture on their website).

And that about sums it up for now.

Give us a link to the proposed house so we can take a look at this fixer-upper. It sounds exciting.

I'll have Steve e-mail it to you. He has the link to the more extensive listing from the realtor. Keep in mind that the pictures don't do it justice.
