In order for the rabbits to come out and run around in the house without chewing up any remotes (they love the buttons), cables, wires or rugs, I lay out an old comforter on the floor in front of the couch, set up a metal playpen and give them something appropriate to chew on (in this case, a Tropicana box from CostCo, a tent made of willow branches and several plastic cat toys).
Lovely Lola:
Johnny can be a little camera shy.
They don’t much care for me and Steve, but they sure like each other.

I love pictures of reabbits, keep them coming. I think it is quite comical to hear about their personalities. Does a spray bottle help with the biting?
A spray bottle can be used to stop a behavior while it's in progress, but it will not make a lasting impression to prevent the behavior in the future. I've heard from many people that it must be because they lack the learning ability to understand the consequences of their actions, but I have seen many demonstrations of their memory and learning ability and I suspect that they know full well what they're doing and are willing to take the risk that they'll be sprayed to engage in an activity they love... which primarily involves chewing on things or people that they're not supposed to. Like people, much of their personality seems to be inborn and there's not much that can be done about it. Buster just bites. It's the way he is and short of removing his teeth, there's nothing we can do about it. We've learned to adapt. We don't have exposed skin when we're playing with him and we keep a hand on his head anytime we need to reach into his cage. Every bunny is very different, though. None of the other five are biters.
Yay, bunnies! My sweet Johnny... I can only see him through the power of the internets...
Thanks for posting.
See, we're taking good care of him. :-)
