Uh Oh

So, as I mentioned in the previous post, Steve and I have been really enjoying the show Burn Notice. In it, the main character Michael drives a beautiful classic Dodge Charger.

Now, I love the car as much as the next girl, but I started to get worried when Steve began searching eBay and Craigslist for Chargers to fix up. It’s becoming as much an obsession for him and the show is for me.

Last night, he got a violent and painful case of the hiccups and we were talking about ways to get rid of them. Completely joking, I said “if you stop hiccupping right this second, we’ll get a Charger.” And he stopped. Instantly. No kidding.

So, while it was quite interesting to observe such a striking mind-body connection, now I’m on the hook. I told him, like Barbossa said in Pirates of the Caribbean, that there was no specification of “when or where,” but I think I’m in trouble once we have a driveway to park it in.

They do say that shocks and surprises can cure hiccoughs.

Of course you could have a baby and then you'd never be able to afford the charger. (See the charger sounds better already. :) )

I'm not actually against it. I love classic muscle cars. If you're willing to do the work, you can get junkers for pretty cheap too. That being said, I just know how time consuming fixing up a car can be.

Reece LOVES this show too. Not obsessed enough to want an American car, but obsessed none the less. I think he just like Michael the most, he calls him "daddy" or something like that. Your next project is to never find a place with an apartment.

I knew Reece had good taste.
