Demetri is an angora and, in theory, needs to be groomed daily. I say “in theory” because he hates it and I tend to use that as an excuse to avoid doing it. One way to keep his fur in good shape is to use a hair dryer on cool to separate the hairs and prevent matting.

It occurred to me as I was doing this yesterday how utterly ridiculous the scene must look: Steve trying to block Demetri from escaping from his perch on the folding chair while I systematically go over him with the dryer.
