March is the busiest month of the year for me, so between doing taxes and being frequently sick, there wasn't time for much else.
There's always enough time for face paint, though.
Pirate Henry by Mom and Rainbow Mom by Jack: Pirate Henry is a force to be reckoned with:
Jack is not to be outdone:
I've never thought my boys look much alike, but I guess I can see it here (kindergarten class pictures):
Henry decked out in his homemade "TA" badge (unfortunately backwards in the picture) and Jack shows off his transformer toy:
I'm not sure what it says for Henry's future that he's already making efforts to impersonate authority figures. Some of the teachers at the boys' afterschool program thought he'd swiped an official badge before they realized he made it himself. Henry really wants to tell everyone what to do, and while his generally good-natured brother sometimes complies, his parents definitely don't respect his authority.

Steve bought the boys some bracelets as a treat. Upon receipt, Henry exclaimed to his father, "I really like these bracelets, you're a good boy!" At least he approves of one parent... sometimes.
The lure of the tablets is going strong:
Jack loves his menagerie of stuffed animals, and his home. When we received a postcard in the mail advertising a local house for sale, he exclaimed, "But we already have the perfect home!"

Perhaps naively, I expected our house to get quieter as the boys got older. After all, what could be louder than two babies, two toddlers, or two preschoolers? Well, two kindergarteners, apparently. Particularly our exuberant Henry.
Like many people, the boys don't always finish the projects they start. After the concept was talked up by other kids at school, the boys set out to build a leprechaun trap. They dumped out their miscellaneous parts box to build said trap, then demanded tape. I said they, both knowing where the tape was and being able to retrieve it, should get it themselves.

So, they lost interest and went to play Lego. I suppose it still could have captured leprechauns by causing them to trip and fall.
Jack is a sweet kid, generally cooperative and agreeable, and his favorite things to draw are rainbows and hearts.
Drawing on his game watch:
Paper roller coaster tracks:

Taking a break from scooter riding to play at Cowell Beach (Henry down by the water, Jack in the orange helmet):
The rain has stopped for now, and with tax season in the rearview mirror, more adventures are on the horizon.
The boys both really like art projects, and Jack in particular has produced some interesting ones this month.

The boys really enjoy their large Lego collection, passed on to them by Steve's brother Philip. My mom's painstaking efforts to organize said bricks has made the massive quantity really easy to use for all kinds of creations.
Despite having two bike crashes in the last month, including one that bent the front fork on his bike upon colliding with a tree, Henry still demands to get outside every weekend. Fortunately the boys also have scooters to cruise around on while we wait on a replacement part to repair Henry's bike.
