Henry, summed up in one picture:Henry crams a lot of attitude into a small person. When asked if he could help me clean up, he asserted first that he couldn't because "I have no arms!" then, upon realizing that this was easily debunked, he pivoted to, "I can't, I'm a frog!" Uh huh.
Jack, on the other hand, is almost always eager to help, even carrying Henry's backpack for him on occasion. He has a system:
Picture of our house Jack drew on his whiteboard:
Life in the waning days of a pandemic continues to be strange. The boys have been sick constantly this fall and heading into winter.

The children's fever-reducer shortage is real (Target, then CVS):
I had to drag the boys with me to a doctor's appointment, and they surprised me by packing their own activities and entertaining themselves quietly in the waiting room:
The boys' elementary school had a dance teacher come in and work with the kids on Mondays in the fall, culminating in a grand performance in December.

We actually went on this particular boardwalk trek after Christmas, but I'm putting it in this post since the Christmas post I'm working on is looking lengthy.
Jack's combination of an excellent memory, attentiveness, and good rhythm was on display and he did great. And nobody can beat Henry for enthusiasm. However, neither were all that thrilled with having to perform or the dance lessons in general. Oh well.

Let's do a selfie with the nutcracker! The boys are super thrilled.

I had to cajole the boys into trying this racecar ride, and they ended up loving it. It doesn't look like much, but the little cars zip down the straightaway and then whip around the turns. The boys concluded that it was, in fact, really fun.
