3 Years, 7 Months

This past month, I turned 37... although that number feels entirely too small for how old I feel. Anyway, we were happy to have my folks join us for the long weekend and, perhaps most importantly, bring ice cream cake.

Firefighters Henry and Jack (in his favorite headband) to the rescue!
After my birthday, Jack asked how old he was going to be at his next birthday and was displeased with my answer of "four." Since then he has announced with some frequency that he's turning 37 at his next birthday.

Disconnected? Displeased with the conversation? Wrong number?

The boys are supremely lucky to attend an amazing preschool with lots of great teachers, friends and activities. They've been enjoying some yoga instruction, and were excited to show off some of their best poses.

"Star pose!" says Henry:

Another look at Henry's shark pose (with the improved authenticity of actually being in the water), which he describes by saying, "I am sleek and I'm determined!"
Jack demonstrates our final pose, we'll call this "the Mommy":
