When nothing's happening...

... post about nothing, I suppose. At least, when it gets mentioned that one is neglecting their blogging duties. I guess my excuse is... it's tax season? Something like that.

Anyway, here we go...

Steve making Okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake containing, among other things, onions, cabbage, carrots and, in this case, chicken):
He also made delicious Loveridge family recipe chocolate bread pudding for dessert. I exist in a constant state of disbelief at how spoiled I am.

Steve purchased a bike from a friend awhile back and, as we had nowhere to put it, it was living in the kitchen, leaning against the island. We decided to try hanging it on the wall in the laundry room. The washer/dryer area is, as Alton Brown would say, a uni-tasker. No uni-tasking areas can be allowed to persist in our little house. So, up went the bike.

 After:
The angle of that shot makes it look like we can't access the washing machine, but that is not the case. We can easily slip in behind the bike to do laundry. And since we only have to do so roughly once a week, it's not much of an inconvenience.

The bike's tucked back out of the way sufficiently that this is the view from the kitchen:
You can't even see the bike unless you're actually in the laundry room. It seems to be a good solution for now. Of course, we can always move it in the future if we grow frustrated with this arrangement.

And that's all I've got for now. We've been working in the yard some, but mostly I've been in a quasi-vegetative state after doing taxes all day (and a Diablo III update has kept Steve glued to his computer more than usual) so productivity has been limited. But only a month until April 15th and the return of my mental acuity (such as it is).
